Browsing Blindly

"Browsing Blindly" is a concept for a browser that wants to help the blind to use the Internet on a laptop. Every homepage on the internet looks differently and has different content. The browser for the blind breaks down this complexity and gives every homepage the same structure and appearance. Voice output, uprisings on a special keyboard skin, high contrast and simplified controls are the features that make it possible for visually handicapped to browse.

The project "Browsing Blindly" was created in a team with S. Langeneckert.
The project was exhibited at the "PERSPECTIVES – Social Design Forum".
"Browsing Blindly" is also the winner of the "Merz award", a communication award for design and engineering.
